Sheraton Hotels (owned by Marriott International) operates over 500 hotels globally. A regional “owner-operator” of several hotels contacted Security Cameras of Columbus to discuss security solutions.
Problem: Two hotels (Sheraton - OH and Pullman Plaza - WV) had outdated, low quality security cameras in place. Old security cameras can compromise customer safety, encourage employee theft, and reduce employee accountability.
Solution: A Security Cameras of Columbus salesperson met with the owner-operator on site to discuss potential solutions. It was decided that Uniview 4MP Mini-Dome Cameras were the best fit for the job for 3 reasons: 1 – Their high-quality recorded video. 2 – Their vandal resistant dome. 3 – Their simple, modern design would complement the newly renovated hotel interiors. The salesperson worked with hotel management and maintenance to decide the appropriate number of cameras and location of each camera. A date was scheduled for installation at each location.
Our installation crew arrived at each location on time and began work. Work had to be done in some customer facing areas, so our crew maintained a professional appearance and cleaned up as they went. After the cameras were installed, technicians worked with hotel management to ensure that each camera was adjusted to get the perfect angle. Monitors were installed so that staff and management could monitor activities across the hotel. Hotel staff were trained on how to use the system, and remote viewing was set up to be accessible from cell phones or computers as needed.
